CKB Group Trains Teachers for Children with Special Needs
Jakarta, 17 November 2020 - PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Group) together with PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABM) as the parent company, held training for Autism Home Teachers and Volunteers in collaboration with Cipta Alliance Education (CAE) and the Fitrah Family Light Foundation (CAGAR ) which manages the Autistic Home.
As many as 45 teachers and volunteers from Bekasi, Bogor, Depok, Karawang, Gunung Putri, Tangerang and Tanjung Priok areas were involved in activities aimed at providing a better understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), potential problems that arise and how to manage them so that able to compilers of ASD individual learning programs in a measured and effective manner.
Iman Sjafei, President Director of PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Group) explained that this activity focuses on training and increasing deeper understanding of the teachers and volunteers of Rumah Autis on various aspects of the development of children with special needs. These two things are very much needed because during the Covid-19 Pandemic, education had to be done virtually, including for children with special needs. Of course this condition requires a special method so that education runs effectively and measurably.
Iman added, "Education is one of the pillars of our CSR activities. Teachers as educators are the spearhead and bear the main responsibility in shaping the character of students with special needs. They are special children who need special handling and guidance from the teachers, so that a deeper understanding is needed so that one day they can support the development of these children with maximum potential ”.
The virtual training which was held simultaneously in the seven Autistic Houses is a form of the company's concern for education, especially the education of children with special needs. During this pandemic, teachers, volunteers and children with special needs were faced with various challenges in the learning and teaching process.
In addition to online training activities, CKB Group also provides operational assistance in the form of equipment that can be used to support online teaching and learning activities. Going forward, the CKB Group will continue to focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that maximize the development of competent human resources so that they can provide progress and independence for the community through sustainable vocational education and training.
